Milwaukee has much to offer anyone who loves a large city, but doesn’t want the drama or hassle that comes with living in one. Milwaukee is often referred to as “The Best Watering Holes – City of Festivals” and for good reason! There are so many fun things to do here; you can literally go out every night of the week and enjoy yourself without paying too steep an admission price. In fact, there are plenty of festivals throughout the year where people come from miles away just to get together and celebrate their interests over food, drinks and music. Even if it isn’t festival season, this summer promises great concerts at places like Summerfest (a huge outdoor concert held each June), the Marcus Amphitheater, and the Northern Lights Theater at Potawatomi Hotel & Casino. All of these venues provide a great way to enjoy live music, so much different than what you would hear on an album or radio show for that matter.
Milwaukee has many reasons why it is one of the best cities in which to spend your days – but this article will focus only on three: its festivals, concerts, and sports teams!
The Milwaukee Admirals are perhaps Wisconsin’s most successful minor league hockey team; they play at US Cellular Arena which also hosts all types of other events throughout the year. The arena holds up to 17 thousand spectators making it easy to find seats no matter when you (just don’t forget your ear plugs if you sit too close to the ice).
The Summerfest is another place that hosts a variety of events during various times throughout the year, but they also have different areas (much like a carnival) where people can go and enjoy themselves. They offer something for everyone here; including fireworks shows, food trucks with all kinds of delicious treats as well as live music from bands both old and new! If you love country or classic rock then their Big Bang Bash shouldn’t be missed either…this show features top-notch tribute bands who play everything from Johnny Cash to Bon Jovi – what more could anyone ask for!? A trip down south may not always be in order when looking for fun activities this summer; Milwaukee has all you need here…
The Pabst Theater is also a great place to catch some live performances, and if it’s not too cold out they even have an outdoor cafe for when the weather is just right! This theater holds close to 1900 people so it isn’t as large as Summerfest or US Cellular Arena; however there are less crowds allowing more room for personal space. The Pabst Theater hosts everything from concerts (like the Dropkick Murphys) to Broadway plays such as Stomp – which was very well received while I visited last year. If anyone finds themselves in Wisconsin this summer then make sure to check out these three places; I guarantee that you won’t be disappointed with your experience!
Living here would be fantastic , wouldn’t it?
